C.J. Berry was not only a savvy businessman, he had a compassion for people and the environment. The C. J. Berry Foundation was created to preserve C.J. Berry’s altruistic values helping those communities that meant so much to him.

Arts & Culture, Conservation, Education, Health, and Human Services.
Eligibility
The C.J. Berry Foundation awards grants to selected tax exempt charitable organizations that have been recognized by the IRS as being described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation does not make the following types of grants:
- 509(a)(3) supporting organizations
- Endowment funds
- Loan repayments
- Medical research
- Grants to individuals
- International grants
The foundation does not accept unsolicited grant requests. Please do not send grant proposals or Letters of interest to us unsolicited.
Geographic Focus
The Foundation awards grants to selected charitable organizations with permanent locations in Northern and the Central California and Alaska. Organizations that do not meet these geographic guidelines are discouraged from submitting a Letter of Inquiry as the likelihood of receiving a grant from our Foundation is significantly diminished.
